this is me today, well it could be............

however as it stands, this is me today. well it is me as an adam ant type character on halloween '98. the silver hair was great, fiona kindly painted the eye of horus and the jacket was bought from flip 2 years ago for £20 - i call it my sunday jacket.

i have a 2/ii in molecular biology, a degree in which i never intend in using because i am not really cut out for the laborotory, my thought processes are a little to 'clumsy' or  'creative' for that environment.

working for scottishpower, soon to be the worlds 10th largest utility company, and have done for almost 4 years. i am business systems analyst and i.t. security analyst for the customer sales and services division, and i enjoy my work. there is always (most of the time) the interest thing that keeps me going back. <me@work - for the divisions magazine>

what else do i do? i have been know to paint, oils and kind of mysterious subjects. write in the way that everyone does at some stage of there life (sometime creatively sometimes really badly!), and if you are real desperate check out my book of rbz. i have been known to enjoy a bit of dancing, my mother taught me to waltz many years ago, a good ceilidh goes a long way and a little bit of a boogie to the latest tunes in the clubs isn't beyond me.

my tipples tend to be a bit varied. a good guinness, a vodka shot, rigo and smirnoff ice are but some of the acoholic beverages that have passed my lips at some stage of the game.

i have completed a year of beethoven. kirsty and I attending seven concerts throughout '99, by the scottish chamber orchestra. it cover all the symphonies & pianos, the prometheus overture and the coriolan overture. i would say that i have never heard a peice of music so beautiful as piano 3, i was totally wonder struck. it took me on a roller coaster of thoughts, images and feelings.

now i have started a 3 year slog (and i am only two weeks into it!) for a m.sc. in information technology. it is 2 nights a week at paisley uni and good old sp are paying. i know that i am enjoying it, but when you leave the house at 7:50 am and don't get back until 10:15 pm the days get kind of long. no doubt when i get on web development and other such exciting stuff you will be seeing the experimentation here.

holidays, now are these the things we work for or what? i have already sid that i enjoy my work, but really it is a pass-time that pays me enough to enjoy my 37 days a year. previous independent holidays are canada and a month on the rails of europe, and the next is either trekking in nepal or trek/cycle in egypt. check out the holiday gallery in robz.

i have spent the last few years developing my spirituality, you could go and have a look at my book of dreams. but let me make this plain. i do not claim to be in any way any kind of witch or 'warlock', mainly because i have never went looking for or found a teacher. pagan? yes i am, and i refer you to the concise oxford dictionary, ninth edition, page 982:

pagan
a person not subscribing to any of the major religions of the world, esp.formerly regarded by christians as unenlightened or heathen.
.......
identifying divinity or spirituality in nature.

my definition of this is that i don't sacrific virgins, worship the devil or believe in heaven or hell, and if any christians wants to pick at me about that then they can feel free, as I am not the up-tight one!

and on nature, i am comfortable in the company of trees, sometimes more than people. give me long walks by lochs, through forests, a few dorgies and good friends are welcome to join me.

i have also scared some friends before by saying i ready to die, now this isn't macarbe, it just seems to me people want to keep wanting more and are never happy with there lot (this may seem to be a sweeping generaliastion but i think it is true in most lives in some part). i do have dreams but if joe black came tonight i wouldn't think 'shit i wished i had done that'.

i would hasten to add that i am not an enlightened soul, i am just one of these people who can sit, say nothing and be content (blond?!?!).

to prove all of the above, and give you a little more insight, if you want it, visit my 'journal' through rbz.

Also now i have scottie, if you did read cats & dogs now would be a good time. you can check him out on scottie.
